About the Program
The Northern Kentucky Youth Advisory Board (NKYAB), sponsored by Children Inc., consists of student representatives from eight high schools across Northern Kentucky. The NKYAB empowers high school students to be positive agents of change in their schools and communities. Schools come together once a month to learn leadership skills and to learn from each other as they develop their individual projects around two guiding questions:
- What will it take for ALL students in Pre-K – 12th grade to be successful?
- How can students help make that happen?
Each school is led by an educator that has graciously agreed to help facilitate the NKYAB at their respective school. Educators organize a minimum of one monthly meeting for their students to meet and provide additional support in helping students reach their goals.
